Yeah I think I like Water Mirror dying just by watching 8th kill people and not even minding that he was set-up by the brother and WM, yet indirectly causing his death together with Xun Yu, so it still counts as 8th AND Xun Yun killing him prematurely. Of course 8th knew what telling the truth would result in.


WM was already caughing blood and 8th was not even close to WM in the last page, considering he would have to kill WM last if he were to kill him


Its quite unique picture and a very WM way of going out and I guess delivering the truth and not doing anything, even showing an emotion, but merely defending himself was 8th's attempt to pay the respect.

 

being 'WM's pet' is what Xun Yu likes to paint his reputation as, so no one would suspect that he was the master mind and deflect the suspicion and I think that is a great spin to his character and deliverance of what was promised by him ages ago.

To be described as a puppet and godlike seems like a contradiction 

Can you be both ? 

If this is a contradiction, is it meant to mean something 

Is this meant to describe that 8th and Xun Yus relation or status in this scheme is more than meets the eye or ?

that's the point, its about both of them. They are two sides of the same coin - 8th is the one dealing in the underworld but delivering the truth, Xun Yu having the most pure reputation but being the master of lies - everyone has to guess who they actually are. these are two different panels and connection is not made between the sentences. one finished, another started
